We encourage families to plan vacations and other travel during school breaks, holidays, or other non-school days whenever possible.

Students who miss more than 10% of the school year (18 days or more) are considered chronically absent. Chronic absenteeism can make it more difficult for students to keep up with classroom learning, build strong relationships with teachers and classmates, and achieve academic success. It has also been linked to lower academic performance and can impact a student's overall well-being.
